Frequently asked questions
Why can't the browser just set the date directly?
For security, browsers can't write file timestamps to your disk. A ZIP stores the date per file, so extracting restores it.
Does this change the photo or its EXIF?
No — it only sets the file's date on disk. Use Change EXIF Date to edit the date inside the photo.
