Batch Rename Photos by Date or Sequence
Rename hundreds of photos using their real date taken or a numbered pattern.
File names like IMG_4821.JPG tell you nothing. Renaming by the date the photo was actually taken makes a folder instantly sortable and searchable.
This tool reads each photo's EXIF date and builds a clean filename from a pattern you control β by date, by sequence number, or both. The pixels and metadata are untouched; only the names change. Download the whole batch as a ZIP with one click.
Frequently asked questions
What tokens can I use in the pattern?
{date} and {time} come from the photo's EXIF, {seq} is an auto-incrementing number, and {orig} is the original filename without its extension.
Does renaming change the image?
No. Renaming only changes the filename. The photo data and all metadata stay exactly as they were.
